This policy explains how Hyperlink Digital (“we”, “us”) handles personal information on hyperlinkdigital.com. We keep it deliberately short and in plain language. If anything here is unclear, email mh@hyperlinkdigital.com.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Hyperlink Digital, run by Mahmudul Hasan, is responsible for the personal information described below. You can reach us at mh@hyperlinkdigital.com for any privacy question or request.
2. What we collect and why
Free tracking audit form
When you request a free audit at /audit/ we collect:
- your name and work email, so we can send your audit and follow up about it
- your website URL, because that is the site we audit
- whether you are a brand, agency, course or coaching business, or something else, and the ad platforms you tell us you use (optional), so we can tailor the report
- the marketing source of your visit (UTM parameters such as utm_source) and the page address, so we know which campaigns bring requests
We use this to run and deliver the audit, to follow up with you about it, and to understand which of our channels work. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering a request you made and in running our business, and, where you ask us to do something before a contract, steps taken at your request.
Contact form and “Start a project”
If you write to us through the contact form or the Start a Project window, we collect the details you type (name, email, website, what you need help with, and a preferred meeting time if you give one). We use them to reply to you and to arrange a call. If you pick a meeting time we send you a calendar link and, later, a video meeting link.
Booking a call
If you book a call we send you to Cal.com, which collects your name, email and chosen time under its own privacy policy.
Emails we send you
The emails about your audit or enquiry are sent because you asked for them. We do not add you to a marketing newsletter unless you separately agree to it, and every marketing email would include a way to opt out.
3. What our audit scanner does to your website
To audit a site we visit it with an automated browser, much like a customer would. It loads your public pages, may add a product to a cart and open the checkout page to see which tracking tags fire, and runs an automated accessibility and cookie-consent check. It does not log in, does not use any account, and does not complete a purchase. It identifies itself in the browser string it sends. We only audit sites reachable on the public internet, and we keep the evidence it collects to build your report.
Your audit is published at a private-by-obscurity address (a long, random link). Anyone who has that link can open the report, so please share it with care. If you want a report taken down, email us and we will remove it.
4. Technical data and spam protection
Our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a visitor is a real person and may process technical information from your browser to do so. We also limit how often one visitor can submit a form. For that we store a one-way hash of your IP address (we cannot read the IP address back from it) and your email, together with the time of your request. Our servers keep ordinary operational logs.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
This site does not set advertising cookies. Our audit form remembers the marketing source of your visit in your browser’s session storage until you close the tab. Cloudflare Turnstile and Cal.com, when you use them, may set their own cookies or similar storage, which they describe in their own policies. If we add analytics or advertising tools in the future, we will update this policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.
6. Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site and the audit:
- our hosting provider, where this site, our forms and our audit tool run
- Amazon Web Services (SES), which delivers our emails
- Cloudflare, for Turnstile spam protection and DNS
- Cal.com, if you book a call
These providers act on our instructions. Some of them process data outside your own country. Where the law requires safeguards for such transfers, we rely on the mechanisms those providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
7. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and audit details for as long as we need them to respond to you, to deliver and follow up on the audit, and to keep a record of our work. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below) and we will, unless we must keep something to meet a legal obligation.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, the UK GDPR or US state privacy laws), you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy
- correct information that is wrong
- delete your information
- restrict or stop how we use it, including where we rely on legitimate interest
- give you your information in a portable format
- withdraw consent you have given, at any time
Email mh@hyperlinkdigital.com and we will respond within a month. If you are unhappy with how we handled your request, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Children
This site and our services are for businesses and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top. For significant changes we will make that clear on the site.
